The first step in calculating the carpet cleaning cost is to accurately determine the carpet's dimensions.
The easiest way to find out the dimensions of your carpet is to check the label on the back side. The width and length are usually indicated in centimeters (cm).
If there is no label or it is not readable, you can measure it using a tape measure. While measuring, fringes should be included in the carpet length.
Carpet cleaning prices are calculated per square meter (m²). Therefore, it is important to determine the correct m² value. To calculate, the width and length measurements in centimeters (cm) must be converted into meters (m) by dividing each by 100. Then, multiply the width and length (in meters) to find the area. The calculated m² value is not rounded and is used as-is for pricing.
To calculate the cleaning cost, multiply the carpet area (in m²) by the unit price corresponding to the carpet type in the price list.
Example 1: Let’s explain the cleaning cost of a machine-made carpet with dimensions 200 x 300 cm using a sample calculation.
